Paper

My paper is now up. I couldn't find the original file, so I posted a rough draft. There are a few grammar and spelling errors and some minor flaws in the argument, but overall I think it's pretty good.

Enjoy.

Comments:
I can't wait to read the paper (descriptivists of the world unite!), but for now I'll leave you with this one. I was singing the Happy Days theme song to myself this morning (it had to do with a Newsweek article about Ron Howard becoming a heavyweight director... never mind, don't ask). Anyway, I was singing the song and I came to the end of the intro/verse part and I stopped dead in my tracks. (everybody sing along) "Sunday, Monday, Happy Days! Tuesday, Wednesday, Happy Days! Thursday, Friday, Happy Days! Saturday - What a day! A WHOLE NOTHER week with you!" Could it be? Are those really the words? I need to research this...

Yeah, false alarm. It's "...groovin' all week with you." Blame the generation gap for me not picking up the 60's slang.

"My paper is now up."

Where is up? Inquiring minds want to know.

You included "whole nother animal," right?

Oh, think of all the wonderful malapropisms that could come up if we did put our brains in neutral and had a whole nother brainstorming time!

Like:

a whole nother can of worms
a whole nother kettle of fish
a whole nother Pandora's box
a whole nother matter

Are we having fun yet?
