Driven

While driving to Chicago yesterday...

"Kent, why would you stay in this lane when there's a whole nother lane going faster?"

Good question.

I was too speechless to answer.

Dr Samp in Comm Theory today: "but we won't spend much time on it since some of you will take a whole nother class about measurement"

Yesterday in church here in Budapest a pastor from South Africa said, "We could talk about gossip, but that's a whole nother passage in James." It's global.

Ok, I'm really excited about this one! I was watching Star Wars (A New Hope) this weekend, and Luke Skywalker himself says "a whole nother!" I wish I could get my hands on a copy of the script to see if George Lucas actually wrote it (I doubt it), but I watched the scene four times and Luke definately says (referring to staying on at the farm because Uncle Owen needs his help), "but that's a whole nother year..."

And, as if that wasn't exciting enough, I was later watching the special features documentary, "Empire of Dreams: The Story of Star Wars," and the Kasden guy who wrote the script for both Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi (basing it on Lucas' ideas), said "a whole nother type of movie" in one of the interviews. I nearly fell off the couch.

"but that blog post took me in a whole nother direction" - Craig on my recent blog post about pedagogy

at a restaurant last night we overheard a waitress talk about homecoming weekend "tomorrow will be a whole nother thing"
